Gerald finds Maja ‘very special’

ACTOR Gerald Anderson declined to confirm rumors that fellow Kapamilya Maja Salvador is already his girlfriend.

Speaking to reporters after bagging the Best Actor trophy at the 2012 Golden Screen Awards, Gerald said Maja is "very special" to him.

"Wag muna tayo magmadali. There's always time for everything," he said last Friday, adding he is dating again.

"Matagal na din akong single. I found someone na gusto kong makasama, gusto kong mas makilala pa and masaya ako pag kasama siya. Bakit ko ipagkakait sa sarili ko yung ganun?" he added.

The "Budoy" star also said he is affected with all the negative issues thrown at him, especially in connection with his love life.

"Kailangan ko din tanggapin dahil part ng trabaho ko yan. Like I said, marami akong i-prove bilang artista. Pero bilang isang tao, wala akong dapat i-prove kahit kanino," he said.

Gerald said he is happy and at peace with all the decisions he's made. He also thanked his family and the ABS-CBN/Star Magic team for their support.

"Right or wrong, panindigan mo yung decision mo. Kung mali, learn from it and if tama naman, be happy. I'm just thankful that I have a very strong support system. Dumaan na kami sa ganito," he said.

Gerald said he will always be there for Maja.

"You just have to be strong for each other and show na happy ka. Just always smile kung masaya ka sa ginagawa mo, masaya ka sa kasama mo," he said.

The rumored couple celebrated Valentine's Day in Tagaytay as Gerald hired a helicopter service to fly them to the popular tourist destination. (Sunnex)
