Jasmine Curtis: Anne's wardrobe issue blown out of proportion
-A A +ASunday, March 3, 2013
YOUNG actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith is wondering why there is big fuzz on her sister's recent wet dance number on variety show "ASAP."
"It has been blown out of proportion. Let them talk and she’s being talked about. Not that she needs it. It’s silly but at least, they’re being safe," she said.
Jasmine said Anne would not subject herself in another wardrobe malfunction similar to what happened in Boracay in 2010 for a live ASAP event.
She said her sister wore a gown with high slits but the "It's Showtime" host made sure it would look classy on national television.
"I get na baka wala siyang suot underneath. But she posted a photo an she was wearing a tangga naman. It was safe and she knew naman to be safe this time, considering the incident before that," she said.
Jasmine said her mom was very proud of Anne.
"Naaliw siya. 'Iba talaga si Anne,' gumaganun siya. Madaming nagti-tweet sa kanya. Natutuwa naman si Mama sa mga kabaliwan ni ate," she said.
The segment is currently under investigation by the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), and Jasmine said Anne has been cool about it.
"She’s just really curious to why it was so big. She gets why it was talked about, but not hurt. I guess people just really want to talk about it that’s why the issue is taking so long," she said. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
