Maja and Gerald not yet dating

ACTRESS Maja Salvador declined to give details about her growing romance with Gerald Anderson although she feels special whenever the actor defends her from negative issues.

"Ayaw ko munang pangunahan...sa akin na lang muna. Kung ano man yung nangyayari sa amin, kung ano man yung pinapakita sa akin ni Gerald ngayon, aaminin ko masaya naman ko. Pero hanggang doon na lang muna, ayaw ko ng mag-detalye," she said at the contract signing of her latest endorsement Tupperware.

Recently, Gerald assured he will always be on Maja’s side, to which the actress replied: "Sobrang salamat kasi nararamdaman ko na special ako sa kanya at pinagtatanggol niya ako.”

The actress added that she also draws strength from her family and close friends.

"Kilala ko yung sarili ko. Ayaw ko kasing magsalita para maging tama. Pinipili ko na lang yung tahimik,” she said.

When asked about the real status of their relationship, Maja maintained they are still in the getting-to-know-you stage. She said they went out as a group most of the time.

"Parang hindi naman nagliligawan. Parang nage-enjoy sa company ng isa't isa. Kapag may nanliligaw sa iyo maarte ka, nagpapaka-girl ka… hindi ako ganun. Basta masaya lang ako sa company niya at mga friends niya. Siya rin nage-enjoy kasama mga cousins ko,” she said.

The rumored couple spent Valentine’s Day in Tagaytay City as Gerald reportedly rented a chopper just to fly them to the area.

Meanwhile, Maja admitted that she gets emotional when her mother is dragged into any issue.

The actress said she constantly receives negative messages on photo sharing application Instagram.

"Yung idamay yung mommy mo, yung family mo, sobra na. Wala ang family at nanay ko sa mga binabato ninyo sa akin. Ayaw ko silang pag aksayahan ng oras,” she said.

With this, Maja refused to see the glass half-empty.

"Sa buhay dapat positive, laging mong isipin na blessed ka. Kahit na aminin natin na may pinagdadaanan ngayon, mas pinili ko na yung positive side yung makita ko," she said. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
