Shaina Magdayao thankful for Piolo Pascual's friendship

ACTRESS Shaina Magdayao said she appreciates the friendship she now shares with actor Piolo Pascual.

The two are rumored to be romantically linked with each other, but Shaina said they are just "good friends."

"Si Papa P (Piolo) has always been a gentleman. Mabuti talaga siyang kaibigan. Kung meron talagang lalake akong maituturing na mabuting kaibigan sa showbizness, isa siya doon," she said in a TV interview.

Shaina doesn't want to give any malice to their closeness now, but said she's happy that Piolo appreciates her as a person being one of his closest friends in and out of show biz.

"Ang panget naman na pangunahan, na bigyan ng malisya yung friendship na ini-offer niya sa akin. Natutuwa lang ako na na-appreciate niya ako," she said.

To recall, Piolo confirmed that he and Shaina frequently hangout nowadays as they jog, do yoga and play badminton together. But the actor doesn't want to preempt what could happen between them.

"There are things that you just let it happen. Shaina and I are friends. Good friends. We've always been friends. Now lang mas siguro mas nagkakaroon kami ng more time because we're into the same sports and same things," he said.

When asked if she's ready to fall in love again after the unfortunate ending of her relationship with actor John Lloyd Cruz, Shaina said she will take things one step at a time.

"I really just want to enjoy para magaan lang ang buhay ko. Working and lahat ng taong nakapaligid sa akin ngayon magaan lang kasama," she said.

Aside from Piolo, actor Sam Milby is also reportedly courting the actress. (Sunnex)
