ABS-CBN: Kris Aquino to fulfill her contract after Europe trip

QUEEN of All Media Kris Aquino will still continue all her show biz commitments upon her return from her trip in Europe, ABS-CBN said.

In an official statement released by the network Saturday afternoon through its Corporate Communications head, Bong Osorio, it said that Kris and her children Joshua and James Jr. are going on an earlier planned vacation starting Saturday, March 23.

Upon her return, Kris will continue her primetime series "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw," and will still sit in the judges' table in reality-talent search "Pilipinas Got Talent," which will end in June.

"Being a foreign franchise, there are commitments we have to fulfill and rules we need to abide by," the network said.

The television host also taped advanced episodes of her morning program "Kris TV" in anticipation of her long planned break.

ABS-CBN management and Kris are scheduled to meet upon her return in Manila.

"We wish Kris and her sons a peaceful and restful vacation. We respect her need for privacy at this difficult time," the statement added.

To recall, a Makati Regional Trial Court on Friday denied the Hold Departure Order sought by Kris' former husband, James Yap, thereby allowing the TV host-actress to fly to Europe with her two sons.

The same court granted Kris' petition for Temporary Protection Order against James after the TV host accused her ex-husband of overstepping his boundaries and of attempting to seduce her while visiting their son. The TPO will expire on April 13. (Sunnex)
