TELEVISION actress Sunshine Cruz reunited with her three kids.
On Wednesday evening, the "Dugong Buhay" star posted a photo of her children Angelina Isabelle, 11 years old; Samantha Angelene, 8; and her youngest Angel Franchesca, 7.
In a text message from Sunshine's lawyer, Carlo Bonifacio Alentajan, he confirmed to Sun.Star that the kids are with his client now.
The children were handed again to Cruz by estranged husband Cesar Montano last Thursday, during the hearing on the actress request for a Permanent Protection Order from her partner.
"Bottom line: Children's welfare was prioritized by the court. Kids are very happy to come home with her," Alentajan texted.
To recall, Cruz and Montano are currently embroiled in a court battle after the actress filed charges against the actor for alleged violation of the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act.
In the sworn affidavit, the actress said that her estranged husband barged in her current residence last May 12 and physically abused her.
Montano allegedly "violently attacked, employed physical violence and raped" Cruz.
She added that in February, before she left their marital home in Quezon City, Montano allegedly slapped her on the face and bumped her head against a concrete wall.
On his part, Montano denied all the allegations of his wife through his lawyer, Joel Ferrer.
"We maintain that there is no truth whatsoever that my client abused Cruz whether physical or verbal. The marital rape Cruz is alluding to is simply preposterous," Ferrer said.
Montano and Cruz were married in February 2000. Reports of infidelity on Cesar's part surfaced January of this year. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
