Saturday, August 24, 2013
SINGER Christian Bautista renewed his ties with Universal Records.
Bautista signed an extension to his present contract earlier this week, which was attended by Universal Record's Operations Manager Peter Chan, General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go, Executive Vice President Ramon Chuaying, and Music Production Head Ito Rapadas.
He was accompanied by his talent management bosses, STAGES President Audie Gemora and Talent Management Head Carlo Orosa.
The singer will soon start to work on his next album, which is set for release next year.
Under Universal, Christian has done three albums, Romance Revisited (four times Platinum), A Wonderful Christmas (Diamond) and First Class (Platinum).
Aside from his musical career, Bautista is currently seen on GMA’s musical variety show "Sunday All Stars," series “With a Smile” and will soon play Prince Charming in Resorts World’s production "Cinderella," opposite Karylle.
In the meantime, the singer dismissed reports that his "With a Smile" leading lady Andrea Torres is the reason behind his rumored break-up with his German-Singaporean girlfriend Carla Dunareanu.
Christian said they are just good friends and he prefer to keep mum on the reports.
"I want to keep it to myself. I am just a person who wants to have a little bit of privacy," he ended. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
