Saturday, September 7, 2013
FILIPINO international singer Christian Bautista expressed his gratitude to his fans for their continued support despite his recent transfer to GMA-7.
"It is surreal pero natutuwa ako sa mga fans who supported me and really stuck with me no matter what station, no matter what I've been doing," he said in a recent interview.
The singer moved to the Kapuso Network last March after his nine-year partnership with ABS-CBN.
He is currently part of the primetime series "With A Smile" opposite Andrea Torres and Mikael Daez. He is also part of concert show "Sunday All Star."
He said his career becomes better and better, but not his love life.
The 31-year-old singer reportedly broke up recently with his German-Singaporean girlfriend Carla Dunareanu.
Christian, however, begged off from answering questions about his love life. "Pass. Next question. Wag na muna tayo mag love life for now," he told entertainment reporters.
He added: "I think the right time would come (for me to speak up). That's one thing that I want to do right now, to keep my private life, private. I want to have space and give my personal life some personal time."
The singer said he entrusts everything to God, whether it be on his career or in his romantic life. "Life goes on," he said.
"In general, we focus on what God wants from you. You pray that things will get better, you trust in God's plan and you stay positive," he said. "My family, they really take me out from where I am. We hang out, we talk. They ground me."
Right now, Christian said he is busy preparing for his upcoming musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" with tv host Karylle.
The said production will be staged on October 9 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at the Resorts World Manila. (Sunnex)
