Judy Ann Santos explained her decision to renew her contract with ABS-CBN on Wednesday, a month after her emotional statement during the finale press conference of "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala" in August.
Previously, Juday said that she had miscommunication problem with her network during the course of the series and even described her partnership with the station as a "love-hate" kind of one.
She asked for a one-month break to unwind, hang out with her family, and rethink her career plans. The actress also confirmed that she had other offers from competing networks.
But during her contract signing on Wednesday at ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City, the actress said she believes the Kapamilya channel is the right place for her.
The primetime star also didn't dismiss reports that other networks offered her big amount to jump ship.
"Hindi naman ako magpapaka-plastic, lahat naman tayo humangad na kumita ng pera, but at the end of the day, iisipin mo din ano yung makakabuti sa iyo and at the same time saan ka ba magiging masaya and saan ba ma-value yung worth mo bilang isang tao at isang artista. Doon ako babagsak sa kung saan ako kumportable at saan ako papakinggan," she said in a CinemaNews interview aired over the weekend.
"May mga tampuhan, samaan ng loob pero sa palagay ko kung walang ganoon, hindi kami matututo bilang tao. Naniniwala ako na ang lahat ng ito ay nangyari for a reason, it made me a better person and it made me realized kung saan ako," the actress said.
In her new two-year exclusive network contract, Juday will host local edition of American program "Bet On Your Baby" and will do another primetime teleserye. She is also slated for one more flick under Star Cinema.
Juday said, "Noong nakita ko yung show (Bet On Your Baby), naging happy ako kasi kahit ako nate-tense ako kung makukuha ba noong bata. Nakakatanggal siya ng problema kasi mga batang maliliit yung mapapanood natin."
The actress also said that this marks a fresh start in her life once more, "New chapter in life and for a change (hairstyle). And kung anong nakaraan, 'yun na 'yun." (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
