Wansapanataym, DZMM nominated in ABU Prizes 2013-A A +A

ABS-CBN's kids program "Wansapanataym" received international nomination in the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Prizes 2013.
Its episode "Number One Father and Son" is finalist in the Television Special Jury Prizes under the Children's category.
The said episode featured child star Zaijian Jaranilla and actor Epy Quizon under the direction of Sponky Villarin.
Aside from "Wansapanataym," the Kapamilya Network's radio channel, DZMM 630 also received international nods in the Radio Category.
The "Moonsoon Rains" special news coverage of DZMM is nominated in News Reporting while its "Election 2013" promo campaign is finalist in the Jingle and Station IDs award.
Meantime, Broadcast Journalist Ted Failon of "Failon Ngayon" is gunning for the the On-Air Personality trophy.
Established in 1964, ABU Prizes is a non-profit, non-government and professional association participated by 255 large and small broadcasting networks in 63 countries.
According to its official website, ABU "promotes the collective interests of television and radio broadcasters and encourages regional and international co-operation between broadcasters."
The ABU Prizes 2013 awards will take place on October 28 at Hanoi, Vietnam. (Sunnex)
