MANILA -- After doing back-to-back projects on television, Enchong Dee is happy to spend time and travel the world with his family.
The 24-year-old recently took time off from work to savor the fruit of his labor and treat his parents and older brother AJ to a China and Mongolia experience.
Enchong shared they rode an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and slept in a yurt, a portable domed tent, in Mongolia and visited the Forbidden City, the Water Cube in Beijing and the Great Wall of China.
"Tumira kami sa yurt and walang heater kaya sobrang lamig. Experience talaga siya and sobrang adventure. Nag-ATV kami and may mga natikman kaming pagkain na hindi mo naman usually nakakain," Enchong said.
Enchong and AJ arranged the whole itinerary. He said he wants to see the world with his family and treat his parents while they can still travel together.
"Gusto namin mag adventure habang sila Mama ay kaya pang maglakad nang buong araw. Ginawa namin 'yung mga bagay na eventually kailangan mong mag-adjust with them," said Enchong.
Also during the said trip, Enchong said he get to do normal activities with his family. He spent time with them, went out to dinner, saw new places and experienced new things.
It's also a well-deserved break after doing "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" and "Muling Buksan Ang Puso" on television and starring in "Four Sisters and a Wedding" and "Tuhog" on the big screen, all in one calendar year.
Enchong said, "One of the best things that happened during that trip is 'yung nakikilala ulit ako nila Mama kasi araw araw akong nagtatrabaho since I don't know when. 'Yung trip na yun nakita nila ako ulit paano kumain and magpatawa. Masaya din na nakasama ko sila na walang iniisip na trabaho."
Right now, Enchong is back to work and is gearing up for "You're My Home" with Ella Cruz, Francis Magundayao, Shaina Magdayao, Iza Calzado, Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta.
The series will grace the television first quarter of 2014. (Sunnex)
