KAPAMILYA actress Iza Calzado said she's not yet ready to settle down anytime soon.
Just recently, Iza and Filipino-British boyfriend Ben Wintle were featured in a shampoo commercial. The latter surprised the actress when he pulled a romantic gesture and arranged a small children's party for the former.
In the said television commercial, the entrepreneur and sportsman explained how he loves Iza's determination to better herself, passion for what she do and love for her craft.
Wintle also shared that he first saw the actress in a music video about 5 years ago in Shanghai. Their paths crossed about two years ago when Iza was hosting a ball in Manila.
In a recent press event which Iza attended, the actress clarified that Ben didn't popped the question after the TV ad. She said that if her boyfriend proposes, it would definitely be an intimate event.
"Hindi niya maintindihan 'yung konsepto na dito may nagpo-propose na may mga family members. That is very new to him."
But if you will ask her, Iza wants a semi-private proposal. She wants someone to document the special event.
"Gusto ko na mayroong mag-record kasi gusto kong makita 'yung reaction ko. Kasi may fascination ako to how people react, siguro dahil I'm an actress and tingin ko may mga bagay sa buhay na hindi mo talaga mai-act and it comes so naturally especially in big moments, and it's so beautiful to watch and experience it," said Iza.
Her reply prompt questions from the entertainment press if there’s indeed a plan to settle down and start a family with Ben.
Iza said they talked about it, but it's not in their immediate plan. Although she hopes to walk the wedding aisle in 2 to 3 years time.
"I'm not yet there. I'm not yet in that phase of my life, but definitely it's sooner than later. Mayroon ka nang (iniisip) na maybe in a few years, definitely kasi children are a big part of it. I want to focus with myself," she said.
Iza said she's happy with her relationship with Ben and she's very close to his family.
Right now, the actress said, her main priority remains to be her showbiz career.
The 31-year-old will be features in "You're My Home" with Richard Gutierrez and Dawn Zulueta, she's also part of Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga movie, and will host the second season of "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition: Doubles." (Sunnex)
