Ariella Arida sets sight on Miss Universe crown-A A +A
Monday, October 21, 2013
MANILA -- Philippines' bet Ariella Arida left the country Monday to officially start her grueling campaign for the Miss Universe crown.
The 24-year-old Laguna-born beauty will represent the country opposite 80 other candidates from around the world.
Leading to the international pageant, Arida underwent five months of rigorous training since being crowned Miss Universe-Philippines in April.
She will try to bag the coveted title after Venus Raj's fourth place win in 2010, Shamcey Supsup's third place title in 2011 and last year's first runner-up win by Janine Tugonon.
The 62nd edition of the international competition will be held on November 9 at the Crocus Hall in Moscow, Russia. (Sunnex)
