QUEEN of All Media Kris Aquino personally handed her donations to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) for the earthquake victims in Cebu and Bohol.
In Monday's episode of "Kris TV," the television host visited PRC's headquarter in Manila.
Aside from giving goods and relief packages, Kris handed a cheque to the organization to help further alleviate the sufferings of our kababayans in the south.
"Kailangan mong iparamdam that there are people who care. Hindi 'yung kumportable ka, kumportable 'yung mga anak mo, (tapos) okay na. Importante talaga na mayroon kang malasakit for everyone kasi you don't know the time will come na ikaw naman 'yung nagsa-suffer and how would you feel if nobody cared," said Kris.
Actress Bea Alonzo, who was the guest co-host of Kris in the said episode, also gave donations to PRC.
Bea also said that she was actually scheduled to fly to the Queen City of the South last October 15 to promote her latest flick "She's The One," opposite Dingdong Dantes and Enrique Gil, when the province was struck by the killer quake.
The Kapamilya star is still thankful to those who still watched and supported the movie amid the calamity.
Meanwhile, Kris also confirmed that actress Kim Chiu will also extend help to her kababayans.
"Kim and I were talking last night and she said, 'Ate kung ikaw toka ninyo ni Bea ngayon ang Red Cross, toka ko 'yung sa simbahan," Kris said, quoting Kim.
To recall, Kim was among the first celebrities who extended prayers to the quake victims in Visayas.
Aside from Kris, Kim and Bea, actor Cesar Montano is mounting a benefit concert for the quake victims in Bohol on October 25 at Teatrino in Greenhills.
The event will feature performances from South Border’s former vocalist Luke Mijares, comedians Bayani Agbayani, Jeffrey Tam, Long Mejia, singer Noel Cabangon, among others. (Sunnex)
