Tuesday, October 22, 2013
ACTRESS Iza Calzado clarified that she is very happy with her show biz career in the Kapamilya Network.
In a recent interview with the 31-year-old actress, Iza disclosed that most people had been asking how her move to ABS-CBN in January 2012 helped further her career in the entertainment industry.
Some questioned why she only did two teleseryes, "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan" and "Muling Buksan Ang Puso," and a couple of episodes of "Maalaala Mo Kaya" since her transfer.
Iza said she's happy and content with the network and she'll be part of three big projects for 2014.
"It pays to wait and to trust that right project will come your way. I'm so grateful," Iza said.
While she's not being featured on television, Iza said she's been working and taping twice a week for the newest season of "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition: Doubles."
"Matagal na naming sinimulan and nangangalahati na kami ngayon. Hindi ko lang siya ma-post sa social media because of the nature of the show," said Iza.
She will be joined by Robi Domingo and Matteo Guidicelli in the said project. Biggest Loser is set for a January 2014 release.
Iza said, "It's such an inspiring show and I can't wait for the whole world to watch it. Ako bilang host, nanliliit ako sa determinasyon at desiplina na ipinapakita ng mga contestants ng Biggest Loser Doubles. It will be an amazing show."
"It's very personal. Dinamayan ko talaga sila sa kanilang hirap. As in literal na napagod ako," said the actress.
Iza added that they will start the promotions for the show very soon. She said, "Mahirap mag-ingay kasi baka mamaya sa sobrang hype niya, pag pinalabas na, sawa na or nasusuya na 'yung tao. Kapit lang and sisimulan din ang promotions ng show."
Aside from the reality competition, the actress will also be part of Piolo Pascual-Toni Gonzaga Star Cinema movie and upcoming family drama "You're My Home" with Ella Cruz, Francis Magundayao, Shaina Magdayao, Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta.
"My role is so good and it's exactly what I've been looking for. Put on hold muna ang mga short trips and nakapagbangko na ako ng sleep," she ended. (Sunnex)
