K-POP fans in Manila filled the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City last Thursday evening to witness the one-night concert of the popular South Korean boy band, Super Junior.
The group returned in the country for the third time for their "Super Show 5" concert series. They visited Manila in 2010 and 2011 for a similar event.
Eleven of its original 15 members were present Thursday during the three-hour nonstop show.
Pinoys cheered, screamed, dance and sang with the band as they performed songs such as "Super Girl," "Bonamana," "It's You," "Can't Breath," "Trapped," "Marry You," "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You," "Harlem Shake," "Sorry Sorry" among others.
They opened the show with "Mr. Simple" and ended it with "So I".
The Manila concert also proved special to local K-Pop fans as it served as a return show of Hee Chul in the international concert scene. He recently completed the mandatory two-year military training in the Korean army.
After Manila, the boy band will mount similar concerts in Mexico, London, two shows in Japan, Malaysia and Macau all in the month of November.
The event was made possible by Globe Telecom. (Sunnex)
