ACTOR Dingdong Dantes is grateful for the overwhelming support and box-office success of his newest Star Cinema movie "She's The One" opposite Bea Alonzo.
The film reportedly earned almost P150 million since it graced the big screen.
Dingdong said even when he was filming the movie, he's very positive that people will love it because of the plot, the actors and how it was done.
"Sobrang magaan yung vibe, na alam mo na kahit saan mapunta magiging maganda yung resulta. It was so refreshing to me. Siguro ganun talaga na pag buong buo yung ibinigay mo, maganda din naman yung balik sa'yo," he said.
The actor added: "It doesn't happen always kaya sobra kong pasasalamat. There's always hit and miss, but this one made me all the more happy kasi maganda yung reception ng tao."
"She's The One" is Dingdong's third flick under Star Cinema. He first starred in "Segunda Mano" followed by "One More Try," both of which gave him his Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Best Actor trophies.
This year, the fans will miss Dingdong though in the MMFF.
The actor doesn't have any official entry, except a cameo role in Eugene Domingo's "Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel."
Dingdong said he initially wanted to do follow-up of "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" for the MMFF but he thought that "Kung Fu Divas," a film by his girlfriend Marian Rivera and comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas, will be shown during the festival.
"We we're expecting kasi yung 'Kung Fu Divas' ilalagay sa MMFF and yung Tiktik part 2 gusto din namin. Medyo same team yung gagawa, so mahihirapan. Baka next year na lang," he said.
Dingdong said he's keen in doing the Aswang movie again as he wants it to leave a mark in the film industry.
"Yun talaga gusto ko siyang maging franchise. Gusto ko siyang maging legacy. We want to produce it independently but maybe later on we will have media partners," he added.
"Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" was produced by AgostoDos Pictures and directed by Erik Matti. (Sunnex)
