CANADIAN pop superstar Justin Bieber is in the Philippines to distribute relief goods in typhoon-hit Tacloban City, Leyte.
According to dzMM report, the "Baby" singer arrived in the country at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday onboard a private plane.
Before arriving in the country, Bieber tweeted: "#GiveBackPhilippines"
He also appealed for support to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in Eastern Visayas. The singer partnered with Prizeo to raise funds for relief efforts. By donating any amount on the website, one will have a chance to hang with the singer and watch him record new songs next year.
"I'll fly you and a friend over to join me in LA from wherever you are in the world. It's gonna be awesome," Justin wrote.
He continued, "Not only that, but at different donation levels you'll receive guaranteed rewards, as well as more chances to win the grand prize. This is something I've never done before, and I'm so excited to hang out with one of my Beliebers."
The typhoon, which devastated the eastern Philippines last November 8, left nearly 6,000 dead. (With AP/Sunnex)
