ACTOR Derek Ramsay believed that things were just blown out of proportion on the reported ruckus involving Anne Curtis and some celebrities at a luxury bar in The Fort, Taguig City.
In an interview with the actor on the set of "For Love or Money," Derek attested to Anne's character -- that she's not hot headed and not on the habit of berating her friends.
"Anne is not like that. For me it's hard to believe na she will do that. But I wasn't there. From what I know of Anne, she will never say anything like that. She will never do something like that," Derek said of his leading lady in the "No Other Woman" and "A Secret Affair."
He revealed that she texted the actress when the controversy gained interest on social media.
Although Anne wasn't able to reply to his Twitter and text messages, the actor knows she's hurt by this latest issue.
"I think she's going through a rough time and I don't expect a reply right away. She's definitely hurt by what she's done and what people are saying. Just give her time to reach out, because I know she will," Derek said.
Derek said the incident may just be a "moment of weakness" on Anne and people were quick to judge.
He said, "It's kind of hard when you're a celebrity and things like this happen. We all have that. We all make mistakes but she's not the type of girl who will do that and I know it will never happen again.
"I'm not saying she's not at fault, she has her faults, maybe it was just blown out of proportion or magnified," the actor added.
When asked on his thoughts regarding the slapping and drunken incident making headlines after the actress apologized and made peace with the concern parties, Derek responded.
"If nag-apologize na and things were settled, and the apology was accepted, no, it shouldn't have been (made public). Why bring it out? That should have been the end of it," Derek said. (Sunnex)
