Anne apologizes to Jake over bar incident-A A +A
Saturday, December 14, 2013
JAKE Cuenca confirmed that "It's Showtime" host Anne Curtis apologized to him after his name was dragged into a recent bar incident involving the Kapamilya actress.
"A few days ago nag-usap kami ni Anne and sinabi ko talaga na wala ako doon. Anne apologized to me. Anne texted me and tanggap ko na yun," the actor said in a Cinema News interview aired over the weekend.
Jake clarified that he was in the same luxury bar in The Fort, Taguig City where the said slapping and berating incident happened but he didn't witness any of it.
He said the story was just mentioned to him by a friend. That is why he is strongly debunking the speculations that it was him who provoked Anne to misbehave during that night.
Jake reiterated he did not bang the toilet door of the Prive Luxury Club and he was in the other area of the bar.
"Nag tweet ako and nag Instagram ako ng ganun kasi nagagalit ako sa nga imbentong lumalabas," the actor said.
"So, para mag imbento ng storya na andoon ako sa pintuan, natakot ako at tumakbo ako, para sa akin ang laking imbento nun. Magagalit talaga ako kasi hindi ako nagsinungaling. Wala akong nakita. Hindi ako kumatok at hindi ko nakita si Anne nun."
To recall, Circuit editor and publisher JR Isaac gave an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal seven days after the incident took place last November 23.
He told the website that Anne slapped him, Leah de Guzman, and actor John Lloyd Cruz and berated model Phoemela Baranda.
In a television interview, Baranda refuted Isaac's story and said Anne never told her "I can buy you, your friends, or this club."
As of this posting, Anne is in Abu Dhabi for her "Annebisyosa" concert while John Lloyd Cruz remains mum on the issue. (Sunnex)
