HOST-Comedian Vice Ganda shared he became emotional when he learned about what happened to his close friend Vhong Navarro, who was mauled by at least six men in a Taguig City condominium last January 22.

The "It's Showtime" host said that he only learned about what happened to his co-host the next morning, January 23.

Vice said he was shaking the whole time, as he recalled that he had been exposed to a quite similar traumatic experience in his youth.

"I feel so unsafe. Parang nangyari nanaman yun sa akin," the comedian said.

He added that Navarro's ordeal affected him much and said that he had a hard time doing his work that Thursday morning.

Kaya talaga hirap na hirap akong magtrabaho," the comedian said. "And I will never want this to happen to any of the people who matters so much to me. Kaya iyak ako ng iyak."

Amid the mixed emotions, Vice said the whole "It's Showtime" family kept a brave face when they visited Navarro in the hospital.

Vice said that he managed to make Vhong smile even just a little and that he encouraged the actor to continue fighting for his full recovery.

"Pinapatawa ko siya. I have to be there na malakas, kasi paghuhugutan niya ako ng lakas. Lahat sila nalulungkot na," he said, adding that his friend needs everyone's support and prayer.

Vice said that before Vhong was interviewed by TV host Boy Abunda in "Buzz ng Bayan" Sunday, he advised his friend to speak only the truth.

The "Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy" lead actor also approves that all parties, Vhong, Deniece Cornejo and Cedri Lee, spoke their accounts on the media as it's their right to clear their names of the issue.

Vice, however, reiterated that he is behind Vhong in his fight.

(Sunnex)
