CEBUANA actress Kim Chiu is facing her toughest acting challenge yet as she's now paired with ABS-CBN's Teleserye King Coco Martin in "Ikaw Lamang."

Chui said she considers the opportunity to work with Martin in a television series a blessing, citing the actor's impressive track record both in television and movies.

The 23-year-old actress said that she never expected that she will have the chance to work with the actor, who starred ABSS-CBN's hit series "Minsan lang Kita Iibigin," "Walang Hanggan," and most recently "Juan dela Cruz."

"Kilala natin si Coco sa napakaraming best actor awards. Isang napakalaking karangalan sa akin na makapareho siya and sigurado ako na marami akong matututunan bilang artista, lalo na sa larangan ng drama. I'm happy and very thankful," she said.

Chui added that even though they've worked together in "Tayong Dalawa" in 2009 followed by "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" in 2010, the upcoming teleserye is their first on-screen team-up.

She said her leading man is generous to his leading lady and co-stars. The Cebuana actress revealed Martin is not afraid to speak his mind, contributes ideas to the project, willing to lend an advice or two and will not stop until he gets the work done.

This display of Martin's dedication and passion for his craft pushes Chui to give her best and not disappoint her audience.

She said that there's also an added pressure now that she's being tagged as "Primetime Princess" of ABS-CBN. Her concern is how to live up to the title, she added.

"Yung mabigyan ka ng ganung titulo ay masarap sa pakiramdam. Dagdag inspirasyon iyon and sa bawat proyekto na ibigay sa iyo, dapat galingan mo kasi mawala yung pangalan na yun, sayang. Ang sarap pangalagaan nun," she said.

Meanwhile, Chui dismissed speculations that her team-up with Xian Lim is over. She said they're slated to do a movie together during the third quarter of 2014.

"It's time for growth na din siguro. Hindi rin naman paghihiwalayin yung tandem namin ni Xian kasi may movie kami. Meron din naman siyang gagawin na teleserye," she said.

"Wala namang pagbubuwag. Kung ano man yung proyekto na ibigay sa amin, we're very thankful and very happy," she added.

Their fans also assured the actress that the support will still be present even though they are now paired with other actors.

"'Yung support ng fans andoon parin naman and hindi mawawala. Nag promise sila na susuportahan nila yung bawat proyekto namin ni Xian," she said.

Joining Chui and Martin in "Ikaw Lamang" are Jake Cuenca and Julia Montes. (Sunnex)
