ACTRESS Andi Eigenmann does not mind playing support to Anne Curtis in newest Kapamilya primetime fantaserye "Dyesebel".
Since gaining popularity in 2010, most of the projects given to the 23-year-old are lead roles. She was launched in "Agua Bendita" and recently did afternoon series "Galema," both with leading man and Cebuano actor Matteo Guidicelli.
According to Eigenmann, playing an antagonist is a big challenge for her and she's looking forward to work with Curtis.
She added that to be able to share the boob tube with high caliber actors like Ai Ai delas Alas, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Eula Valdez, Dawn Zulueta, Gabby Concepcion and Albert Martinez, is already an honor for her.
"I'll be honest, lahat naman ata ng babaeng artista, hahangarin na siya ang maging susunod na Dyesebel. Pero okay lang din sa akin na hindi because Anne more than deserves it," she said.
The actress continued: "She's very beautiful and I know kaya niyang bigyang katarungan ang role ni Dyesebel."
When it comes to her role, Eigenmann said there is no big adjustment on her part because she is guided by "Dyesebel" directors Don Cuaresma and Francis Pasion.
"Hindi siya mahirap as long as I like what I'm doing. The very reason why I accept the role is because I know I will enjoy it. So the adjustment wasn't a problem at all," she said.
"Hindi ko naman tatanggapin yung role kung sa tingin ko hindi ako mapapasama sa isang proyekto na napakaganda at susubaybayan ng manonood."
In the end, Eigenmann said she's in the entertainment business not for fame or titles, but to share her talent to the viewing public.
"Hindi ko hangad sa pagpasok sa pag-aartista ay maging bida, ang hangad ko ay maibahagi kung anong kaya kong gawin. And I believe in this concept. I know it will be a big hit," she said.
"Dyesebel" premieres March 17 on ABS-CBN. (Sunnex)
