John Lapus on Ai Ai, Kris: Give them space-A A +A

COMEDIAN John "Sweet" Lapus believes that whatever misunderstanding Ai Ai delas Alas and Kris Aquino have at the moment, the two will eventually kiss and make up.
In an interview during the press launch of the newest afternoon fantaserye "Mira Bella," the comedian clarified that he has no idea what caused the misunderstanding between his two showbiz friends as they had not seen each other for some time due to their busy schedules.
However, Lapus is certain that Aquino and Delas Alas will find time to sit down and finally deal with the issue.
"Matanda na ang dalawang yan at alam na nila ang gingawa nila. As a friend, what I can do na lang is to pray na eventually maayos because sayang yung friendship. I don't want to be put in a situation na nasa isang lugar kami tapos hindi sila nagpapansinan," the comedian said.
Lapus said Aquino is one person who easily forgives and forgets.
"Si Kris, bilang matagal na kaming makaibigan, give her space muna. Eventually everything will be okay. Sa mga kaibigan ko, si Kris and one of the few na nakakagawa na pag nagpatawad siya, forgive and forget na literal. Nakakalimutan niya na halos na may issue sila nung isang tao," he said.
He noted Aquino's uncanny ability to still believe in one person even after a protracted disagreement.
"Nababalik niya yung trust and friendship. Knowing Kris, maaayos din ito and sino ba ang may gusto na meron tayong kaaway, kasamaan ng loob or katampuhan. Knowing Kris, baka siya pa ang unang gumawa ng paraan because she always does the first move," he said.
As for delas Alas, the comedian described her as motherly and caring. He said he had not seen her having misunderstanding with anybody.
"Nanay na nanay 'yan sa set. Dinadalhan niya kami ng pagkain and very caring. I hope hindi siya nagtatanim ng sama ng loob," he said.
The supposed rift between the two allegedly started when Aquino failed to support delas Alas during the death of her biological mother. Aquino was having a vacation in London with her two sons at that time.
Meanwhile, Lapus was also asked during the interview about the identity of the mystery guy who makes Aquino feel loved and happy nowadays.
The comedian shared that Aquino does not say anything about the guy, even to her friends. He hinted though that Aquino met someone during her recent trip in Dubai.
Lapus admitted that he was not even sure if it's a new guy or the same person who made Aquino "semi-broken hearted" in February.
On Aquino's reconciliation with her estranged husband James Yap, Lapus expressed happiness that both parties have arrived at a compromise.
"Sinabi ko sa kanya, 'I'm so proud of you sa ginawa mong yan'. Lalo na yung interview niya na she doesn't want to deprive Bimby of a father. Me, being an abandoned child, iniwan ako ng tatay ko, na itong si James Yap ay willing maging tatay, tatanggalin mo pa ba yung privilege na 'yun?" Lapus asked.
The comedian then compared what happened to Aquino and Yap's union to the friendship of the Queen of All Media with the Comedy Concert Queen.
"Kung si James nga na mas malala at mas malalim yung kanilang tampuhan at pinagdaanan ay naging okay, ito pa kaya. I'm pretty sure na kung ano man itong sa kanila ni Ai Ai, maaayos din," he ended. (Sunnex)
