COMEDIAN Vhong Navarro got emotional on Thursday when he learned that the Department of Justice (DOJ) dismissed the rape complaint filed by model/stylist Deniece Cornejo against him for lack of merit.

Navarro cried tears of joy on the set of noontime variety show "It's Showtime" as he thanked everyone for the prayers and support.

Navarro also thanked his two sons, especially his girlfriend Tanya, who never left his side since the alleged rape and mauling incident took place at Cornejo's condominium unit in Taguig City last January 22.

In the end, Navarro reiterated that he's not capable of harming women.

Again, salamat po sa inyong pagdarasal," he said.

Meanwhile, the DOJ on Thursday filed serious illegal detention and grave coercion charges against Cornejo, businessman Cedric Lee and five others. (Sunnex)
