DANICA Sotto admitted she felt awkward upon learning about the relationship of her father, television host-actor Vic Sotto, with young actress Pauleen Luna.
Reports have it that Danica and Oyo, children of Vic with former wife Dina Bonnevie, are not in favor of the "Eat Bulaga" main man's May-December romance with Luna.
But Danica clarified in a recent CinemaNews interview that there was no tension or confrontation between them, as they respect their father's decision and choices.
"Ayoko magsinungaling, nung una siyempre medyo nakakailang konti, yung edad. Hindi naman kami magkaaway or anything. When we see each other, okay din kami.
Despite the 34-year age gap between Vic and Pauleen, what matters most for Danica is to see her dad happy.
"For me, I will just continue to pray kung ano yung will ni God para sa kanila. I will continue to respect them and to be there for my dad," she said.
Danica also shared that Pauleen has been reaching out to her, brother Oyo and other members of the Sotto clan.
Danica believes his father must give more time in getting to know Pauleen before deciding to get married.
And I know he wants to set a good example sa amin ni Oyo," she said.
"If ever magpapakasal siya, I'm sure pag-iisipan niya yan ng mabuti. Kung one day magpakasal sya, why not?
Danica is married to basketball star Marc Pingris while Oyo is expecting his third child with wife, actress Kristine Hermosa. (Sunnex)
