CEBUANA actress Eula Caballero revealed she was stressed when new comedy program "One of the Boys" aired its pilot episode last Saturday.

In an interview with Eula at the TV5 event held during the Ad Summit Pilipinas 2014 in Subic, Zambales, the 18-year-old shared she was initially nervous as it's her first foray in comedy.

She's also concern with how the viewing public will react and accept her new project opposite Filipino-British boy group Juan Direction and ace comedian and television host Joey de Leon.

"Bago pa siya umere, inaantay ko pa lang yung time niya, sobrang kaba ko. Parang ayaw ko ng panoorin kasi sobrang kaba ko. Tinibayan ko na yung loob ko," she said.

"To be honest, I was really stressed that day. Natatakot ako because I don't know how the viewers will respond to that kind of offering of TV5, na talagang may location and may story na sinusundan. After that, very fulfilling yung feedback ng tao," she added.

According to Eula, she decided to try her hands in comedy because her character "Gabi" is very close with how she is in real life. It also didn't take her a long time to adjust from heavy drama to sitcom.

"I'm a very jolly person, ganun kasi ako in real life, anything can make me laugh. I'm so easy to get along with because I can talk about anything, I can go along with the humors of the boys. In real life naman, tayong mga Pinoy mahilig tayong tumawa," she said.

It also helps that "Eat Bulaga" main man de Leon is her mentor in the series.

Eula said Joey told her to just have fun, enjoy the project and don't let pressure and stress dictate her actions in front of the camera.

"He's very easy to work with and at the same time, while we're enjoying taping with him, we learn a lot from him like how to memorize your script easily, ni-impart niya talaga sa amin kung ano yung dapat gawin pag comedy," she said.

"Sabi ni Tito Joey laruin lang namin, don't be too stressed, wag ma-pressure. Just play and have fun in the set," she added.

Meanwhile, unlike her two recent projects ("Enchanted Garden" and "Cassandara") wherein she's paired with actor JC de Vera, who now works for ABS-CBN, Eula is now teamed up with showbiz newbie, Filipino-Irish model and "Juan Direction" member Daniel Marsh.

Eula said she has no problem changing partners because it’s always a new challenge for her.

"Mas advantage pag matagal na kayong magkasama, mas kumportable na kayo sa isa't isa, mas malawak yung pwede ninyong gawin. And if may new partner, andun talaga na you have to know the person and back to zero ka every project, you have to establish friendship and rapport, but at the same time nasu-surprise ka parin with someone's work," she said.

The young actress said everything's working smoothly between her, Daniel and the rest of "Juan Direction" members, and the boy group never fails to surprise her.

"I thought before that Dan is a typical Irish na they have this certain humor, but nakaka amaze na yung humor niya pala is very Filipino na. It gives me an opportunity to learn more. May bago akong source of knowledge and it's nice to work with a new partner din on-screen," she said.

"One of the Boys" airs every Saturday evening on TV5. (Sunnex)
