Gretchen Barretto: Claudine is hallucinating, has mental illness-A A +A

GRETCHEN Barretto refuted the latest accusations made by her sister, Claudine Barretto, that she called her names and insulted the latter's children, Santino and Sabina.
In an official statement aired over "TV Patrol" Monday, Gretchen maintains that she never uttered words "baboy ka, lechon ka, laos, magpakamatay ka na lang" to Claudine.
She also questioned her sister's credibility amid allegations of drug use and mental illness.
"How do I debate with one who is clearly hallucinating and is under the influence of drugs and is suffering from severe mental illness. I am not one who would utter words such as ‘baboy, lechon, laos, & magpakamatay ka na," Gretchen said.
She added: "I never spoke ill or cursed Sabina nor Santino. I have yet to hear Claudine and her mother and father speak the truth for once. Their current situation and lost relationship should speak volumes of the kind of character and attitude they possesses."
Gretchen, who is currently in Chiang Mai, Thailand, issued the statement after an interview with Claudine aired on "Buzz ng Bayan" last Sunday.
In the said interview, Claudine recalled that their protracted rift started in 2010, when Gretchen and Marjorie arrived in her marital home with a pediatrician, eight men and an ambulance in tow. She claimed the group brought a straitjacket for her.
Claudine claims she heard Gretchen say: "Basta doc, nag-overdose yan."
She also accused Gretchen of "bullying".
"I just kept quiet, the whole time, and they kept on bullying and bullying and did not stop. Ganito ba dapat ang ugali ng mga ate? If, let's say, I'm mentally ill, mas lalong nakakasira ng ulo ang ginagawa nila. Nakadapa na, tatapakan ka pa, duduraan ka pa."
Claudine called Gretchen "heartless" and "shame" to her family
"I'm not going to allow her to destroy my parents' name anymore. Stop using our name. And isa pang pakiusap ko kay Gretchen, any question about me, stop answering. I don't want to be affiliated with you. You are a shame to this family. I want to know Gretchen, ano ba ang goal mo? Up to where? When are you going to stop?"
Meanwhile, Marjorie clarified in a statement that the 2010 incident in Claudine's house was initiated by their parents, Inday and Miguel Barretto.
The statement read: "Claudine, for your information, Mom and Dad begged us to rush to your house because your personal assistant told them you finished all your anti-anxiety medicine. We had with us a doctor and an ambulance from a very reputable hospital because we didn't want you to die, Claudine.”
"We were saving your life. Dad and Mom, please don't deny the fact that the orders to rush her to a hospital came from both of you. We didn't have a straightjacket. That is a lie. Claudine, we were protecting you, we didn't want you to die, most especially in front of your children." (Sunnex)
