TELEVISION host Luis Manzano said no wedding proposal took place during his latest trip with girlfriend Angel Locsin in Japan.
The two spent a few days in the foreign land and made the most of their free time together. But when asked if he already went down on one knee, Manzano said he has yet to do it.
"In terms of us tying the knot and settling down, it is still a long journey but definitely I'm holding her hand every step of the way," he said in an interview in "The Buzz" on Sunday.
Manzano further said that they did talk about marriage, as early as their first date when they got back together, and they have a lot of plans in the future.
"We are talking about settling down. The fact that we're talking about these things means we're here to stay," he said.
He added that they are stronger now more than ever because faith, trust and love are the foundation of their relationship.
The "Voice Kids" host added that they make things work even with their busy schedules. Luis said time was never an issue between them even when Angel was taping non-stop for evening series "The Legal Wife".
"I fully understand how it is to have a significant other in showbiz. Alam ko paano magtrabaho ang artista and ang nakikita lang ay yung finished product, pero sa likod grabe yung pagod na sa likod ng camera. And we've both matured," Manzano said.
The TV host said he has changed a lot since he and Locsin rekindled their romance.
"Mabait na ako. Realizing everything that has been given to you. One of the biggest blessing of my life, (knowing someone) is standing in front of you saying I love you. So how can you let that go?" he said.
Meanwhile, there were talks that Locsin will reprise the role of "Darna" in 2015 and she is most likely not allowed to get pregnant while doing the said project.
Manzano said they can delay the baby but not the marriage.
"Pwedeng i-delay (yung baby). Sabi din naman namin na once we get married we want to explore what the world has to offer. We want to travel and I want her to relax," he said.
Meanwhile, the TV host is rumored to be thinking of joining politics.
He said he is not closing his doors and will decide in a few months time.
"Pinag-uusapan na namin, with my mom, Tito Ralph (Recto), Angel. We talked about it over dinner, although very casual conversation, they weren't influencing. It is more on what I want. Sabi ko in two months, I will decided. I will pray for it," he ended. (Sunnex)
