KRIS Aquino apologized to Batangas Governor Vilma Santos for the bashing the Star for All Season received for the grammatical errors on the dedication card she sent to the TV host-actress.
On Thursday's episode of "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," the Queen of All Media said she took offense to bashers commenting that she uploaded Santos' personal note with malice.
Earlier, Santos sent Aquino a box of ensaymadas along with a dedication card, which reads: "Dearest Kris, thank you sooo much for believing in me! I truely appreciate it friend. Life is short... Enjoy it. You are so bless... God is good! Smile! I love you, Ate Vi [sic]."
Aquino posted an image of the note on Instagram as she thanked Santos for the gift. However, the said post generated hundreds of comments after netizens pointed out Santos' spelling errors: "truely" instead of "truly" and "bless" instead of "blessed".
Aquino clarified the wrong spelling did not bother her.
"Ako, I take offense doon sa nagsasabi na I meant her harm by posting that. I didn't. You know I'm a fan, I'm a Vilmanian," she said.
"It did not bother me. Ako po yung recipient ng card. Kung ako, noong binabasa ko ay hindi ko chineck, hindi ako nagpaka-English teacher doon sa card na yun," she added.
Aquino said what touched her was the honesty, sincerity and genuine kindness Santos showed her.
"Now I realize also na my good intentions of showing my appreciation to her can be taken the wrong way. I love you Ate Vi. I apologize, Ate Vi, doon sa stress na ibinigay nito sa iyo. Pero sinabi ko nga, you're too blessed to be stressed," she said.
Aquino has more than 1 million followers on Instagram. (Sunnex)
