Hadyen Kho can practice medicine again-A A +A
Wednesday, July 9, 2014
FIVE years after his name was involved in a sex scandal, television personality Hayden Kho has been reinstated as a medical doctor by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Kho took to image-sharing application Instagram to share a portion of the document announcing his reinstatement in the medical profession.
The said paper dated July 7, 2014 was signed by Board of Medicine chairman Dr. Miguel Noche Jr.
"We see no cogent reason to further burden petitioner with the remnants of a reckless faux pas when his overall conduct shows a manifestly repentant heart. While others simply passively wait for the period revocation to lapse, petitioner positively and quickly acted to prove himself a worthy medical doctor to this Board and the Commission," the document read.
"Wherefore, all premises considered and for reasons of equity and justice, the Board hereby grants petitioner's petition for reinstatement. Dr. Hayden Kho is hereby reinstated to the practice as medical doctor," it added.
The 34-year-old doctor was thrilled by the news and thanked the Almighty for the good news.
He posted the following verses from Psalms 71:20 and Joel 2:25, respectively:
"You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.
"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you."
The sex video scandal involving Kho and several female personalities created a buzz in showbiz and politics.
Kho's license was revoked by the PRC in late 2009 after he was found guilty of immoral and unethical conduct as video recordings of his intimate moments with several women, including actress Katrina Halili, spread online.
Aside from the criminal charges filed by Halili against Kho, the medical doctor also faced a Senate investigation led by Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. about the scandal.
Kho, girlfriend cosmetic surgeon Dr. Vicky Belo, and Revilla reconciled in April during a spiritual visit to the Holy Land, Israel. (Sunnex)
