Piolo Pascual’s son auditions for US boy band-A A +A

ACTOR Piolo Pascual revealed his son Iñigo auditioned for a United States boy band and is looking into a career in the entertainment industry.
"I can never be more proud kasi nakita ko talaga na gusto niya yung ginagawa niya. Hindi siya yung tipo na nahihiya or napipilitan. Siya pa yung mas excited," he said, adding that his son has the talent to perform in big crowd.
He said his 16-year-old son would undertake voice, dance and other necessary workshops and training to prepare himself for his new endeavor. The actor said his son will be traveling to Nashville, Tennessee, next week to start the boot camp.
"They're going to the second round of the auditions and they're asking some other boys because they want them side by side with Iñigo. Iñigo is not auditioning anymore, parang pipili na lang sila ng pwedeng i-pair sa kanya," he said.
Pascual clarified that Iñigo's education remains his top priority. He said the teenager will be home schooled while going through the auditions.
"My condition is if it's going to get in the way of your school, we have to drop it. The condition is they're going to home school him during the day and train and do workshops after," he said.
Even though his son has received numerous offers to pursue a showbiz career in the local entertainment, Pascual said he was hesitant to allow Iñigo. He said he does not want his son to live in his shadow and be exposed to same controversies he had been through in the past.
"Tatay ako at hindi ko hahayaan dumaan sa ganun 'yung anak ko. Ako nga nasaktan, paano pa yung bata? Ayoko sana. He knows it's part of the package, pag pumirma ka at nag-artista ka, kasama yun. Hindi naman laging maayos, may mga taong may inggit, may mga taong hindi gusto kung anong meron ka," he said.
Pascual said he told Iñigo to give his all and not to waste the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity given to him.
"Sabi ko sa kanya, 'mas seryosohin mo yan kasi 'pag naging sikat ka sa States, naturally sa Philippines, mas sikat ka. Hindi na kailangan mag trabaho dito kasi everytime you come here, you already have a job," he said. (Sunnex)
