ACTOR JC de Vera does not regret his decision to join ABS-CBN.
He said he made the right move in July last year because he started to get noticed again for his acting chops.
"Patience is a virtue. Naniniwala kasi talaga ako na merong tamang timing ang lahat. So, ito yung magandang timing na ibinigay sa akin ni Lord and very thankful and grateful ako sa lahat ng sumusuporta talaga," the actor said.
He was lauded for his character Max Gonzales in the hit evening drama "The Legal Wife," alongside Jericho Rosales, Angel Locsin and Maja Salvador.
Aside from "The Legal Wife," he bagged his first lead role in ABS-CBN in afternoon soap "Moon of Desire," with Ellen Adarna and Meg Imperial, and is featured in the movie "Once A Princess", which opens on August 6.
The 28-year-old actor has been in the entertainment industry for more than a decade.
He started in GMA-7 via teen-oriented show "Click" and did other programs such as "Joyride," "Sugo," "Mars Ravelo's Captain Barbell," "Pasan Ko Ang Daigdig," "Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita".
In 2010, de Vera made headlines when he inked a three-year deal with TV5, where he top-billed shows like "Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum," "My Driver Sweet Lover," "Cassandra: Warrior Angel," and "Valiente".
After finishing his contract with the Kapatid network, many were surprised when he suddenly transferred to ABS-CBN for a two-year deal.
"Hindi ko ini-expect na aabot ako dito. Basta ang ginagawa ko lang naman in the past 10 years is to work. Just keep on working," JC said. "Very happy ako with ABS-CBN kasi nakakakuha talaga ako ng quality projects, not that I'm saying na hindi ako nakakakuha before, but ito 'yung right time."
De Vera added he is living any actor's dream, which is to have quality shows and good public support.
"Prayers (ang kasama ko ngayon). Nagdadasal ako palagi na umabot ako sa taping ng maayos, may energy at buhay pa. I'm grateful for all the support and love from my network and fans," he said. (Sunnex)
