MEXICAN superstar Thalia recently pulled an elaborate joke on her Instagram followers, days after television host Kris Aquino opened up the rumors about the Mexican superstar's slim figure.

In last week's episode of "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," Aquino asked guest Beauty Gonzalez, who shared the secret behind her slim and sexy figure on the show, if she had her ribs removed to achieve a slim waistline.

Aquino then related the long-standing rumor that Thalia had gone under the knife to get her slim waist.

Days after the interview, the 42-year-old Mexican actress took to Instagram to clear the stories about her infamous ribs.

She initially uploaded a photo of a glass jar containing her ribs to "confirm" the rumor. She said she kept them as a "souvenir."

Thalia wrote: "To all my loving Filipino fans, here is the proof. I love my famous ribs. I kept them with me all these years."

But what seems to be her infamous ribs turned into a joke when singer/actress posted a day after that it was just a trick.

"Nope, not mine," she said.

Thalia then posted a picture of a Spicy Pork Spare Ribs dish.

After the whole hullabaloo, the singer invited Aquino, her close friend Boy Abunda and news personality Anthony Taberna to have a meal with her and even said she would cook Bulalo.

Her only request from Aquino is to bring Halo-Halo, Sisig and Ensaymada once they meet up.

"To all my Filipino fans, Tadaaaa!!! Here is my famous rib. Would you like to try some? Kris Aquino, I am inviting you, Boy Abunda and Anthony Taberna. I'll cook it like Bulalo style next time. Bring Halo-Halo, Sisig and Ensaimada por Favor!"

Thalia became a household name in the Philippines when her popular telenovelas "Marimar," "Maria Mercedes," "Maria la del Barrio," and "Rosalinda" were aired in the country in the 90s. (Sunnex)
