QUEEN of All Media Kris Aquino ignored the recent statement given by ex-flame, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, and instead, she took on the ALS Ice Bucket challenge made by actor Derek Ramsay.
In Sunday's episode of "The Buzz," the showbiz-oriented program aired a taped interview of Bautista commenting on Aquino's life.
He said they text each other once in a while and hinted that he's well-aware of rumors linking Kris to other men.
"Marami na siyang ginagawa, marami siyang iniisip, marami siyang plano. Maraming manliligaw siguro. Andyan si Derek (Ramsay) diba? Nababasa ko sa dyaryo 'yun e. Pwede ko din naman banggitin si James (Yap)," Bautista said.
Bautista even said that he's looking forward to the time when Aquino and the latter's ex-partners Philip Salvador and Joey Marquez will start talking again.
He said Kris has high respect for Marquez and the television host learned a lot of things from her past heartbreaks.
Bautista added that they remain civil toward each other.
"No matter what, maliit lang ang mundong ginagalawan natin. She belongs to a political family and I'm in public service. Magkakabarkada naman kaming lahat... sila Jun Jun (Binay). I have no rancor about anything to anyone. Wala akong masamang tinapay sa kahit na kanino," he said.
When it's time for her to react, Aquino was not able to hide her sarcasm.
She said: "I have a spokesperson, si Mayor Bautista."
Aquino believes that a person truly moves on if he/she stops talking about someone.
"If you still talk about it, or if you still talk about the person, and ibig sabihin nun, you still care about that person. Kung hindi mo na siya pag-uusapan, hahayaan mo na lang, ibig sabihin nun, nag move on ka na," she said.
The TV host is proud to say that she's gotten over her past love.
"I think so, hindi pa (siya naka move on). But I'm proud to say I've moved on kasi kung anong mahalaga sa akin, yun ang pag-uusapan ko ngayon. And ang mahalaga sa akin si Derek Ramsay," Kris said.
"Ako 'yung sinasabihan ninyo ng madaldal, walang pribado, nananahimik na ako, nag move on na ako. Sana yung mga tao kayanin din gawin yun kasi marami din namang responsibilidad sa trabaho niya, wag na makialam sa buhay ko."
Afterwards, Aquino did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on national television. She was drenched with ice cold water by co-host Toni Gonzaga and youngest son Bimby.
Kris also made a $100-donation to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association and nominated broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna, "Kris TV" head writer Darla Sauler, and comedian Vice Ganda. (Sunnex)
