THIRTEEN years after the death of former matinee idol Rico Yan, actress Claudine Barretto shared that she still could not shrug off the feeling of loneliness over the death of her former boyfriend.
On Sunday, Claudine posted on Instagram a photo of her working out in the gym as a way to distract herself from Rico's death anniversary.
She wrote: "HIIT AGAIN! Pang wala ng lungkot. Hate this day. March 29 every year. You're my nightmare! Missing you RY."
On March 29, 2002, Rico was found dead inside his hotel room at Dos Palmas Resort in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
According to the autopsy report, the actor died of cardiac arrest caused by acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis. He was 27.
Barretto and Yan were reel and real life sweethearts.
The two started working alongside each other in 1997 hit drama series "Mula Sa Puso". It was followed by "Saan Ka Man Naroroon," and "Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita".
Two weeks ago, on March 14, during Yan's birthday, Barretto posted a photo of them taken in their last movie "Got 2 Believe".
The actress greeted the actor and said he will forever remain in her heart.
