Marian Rivera shrugs off negative intrigues about her

Friday, May 19, 2017

MARIAN Rivera shrugged off Friday any negative comments about her stemming from her controversial shirt Dolce & Gabbana shirt.

Just recently, the television actress and Heart Evangelista made headlines over the authenticity of the latter's shirt.

Evangelista's French friend Anne, who uses the Instagram handle @anne_bonhomme, hinted in a comment to a post that Rivera was wearing a counterfeit D&G shirt, which prompted the fans of the Kapuso Primetime Queen to defend her.

"Is there any debate when this Marian girl is wearing a fake one? The design in Arabic is supposed to have a banana," @anne_bonhomme said in a comment to one Instagram post.

Later on, the personal shopper of Rivera came out and defended her client and said the t-shirt is legitimate. The shopper said that everything she sold to Rivera and her other clients were not fake.

At the "Tadhana" press conference held Friday, May 19, the actress spoke for the first time on the issue and said she does not understand why some people fuss over a shirt.

Dedma," the actress said.

Meanwhile, Rivera set the record straight over her supposed rift with Andrea Torres, leading lady of her husband, Dingdong Dantes, in GMA-7's "Alyas Robin Hood".

Gossips said Rivera got jealous of Torres but the former denied the rumor.

She added that Torres might have had a hard time clarifying the issue as she was also going through something when she was interviewed.

Rivera said she understands that gossips are all part of show business.

She said she wants to focus on the positives, like her successful career and happy family life.

Right now, Rivera said she couldn't ask for more as she's given a loving husband and a healthy daughter.

(SunStar Philippines)
