Natalie Portman wins Golden Globe

THE pregnant Natalie Portman bagged the Best Actress trophy in a Motion Picture (Drama) category during the 68th Golden Globe Awards.
Held at Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, the award giving body honored the best in film and television for the year 2010.

Portman took home the award for her outstanding performance in the movie "Black Swan". The actress wore a Viktor and Rolf gown, Stella MacCartney shoes, Tiffany & Co jewels and Dior clutch.
"The Social Network" was also a big winner during the night as the movie was recognized as the Best Motion Picture for Drama this year. It's director David Fincher also bagged the Best Director trophy.
Aaron Sorkin was also awarded for the Best Screenplay category and "The Social Network" also got the Best Original Score trophy.
"The Kids Are Alright" was named as the Best Motion Picture for Comedy or Musical and it's lead actress Annette Bening was awarded the Best Actress trophy in this particular category.
Both Colin Firth (The King's Speech) and Paul Giamatti (Barney's Version) got the Best Actor in a Motion Picture award for Drama and Comedy or Musical, respectively.
Actor Christian Bale and actress Melissa Leo were awarded for the Best Supporting category in a Motion Picture for their performance in "The Fighter".
"You Haven't Seen the Last of Me" (Burlesque) also received the Best Original Song trophy while "Toy Story 3" was named as the Best Animated Feature Film.
The Danish movie "In A Better World", topbilled by Mikael Persbrandt and directed by Susanne Beir, went home as the Best Foreign Language Film this year.
For television, the hit series "Glee" bagged the most awards. They received the Best TV Series (Comedy or Musical), Best Supporting Actor (Chris Colfer) and Actress (Jane Lynch) In a TV Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie category.
Best TV Series for Drama category went to "Boardwalk Empire" while Steve Buscemi got the Best Actor In a TV Series for the same movie as well.
Katey Segal was named as Best Actress for Drama in "Sons of Anarchy" while Jim Parsons was named as Best Actor for Comedy or Musical in "The Big Bang Theory".
Laura Linney went home the Best Actress in a TV Series (Comedy or Musical) award for "The Big C", while Al Pacino (You Don't Know Jack) and Claire Danes (Temple Grandin) got the Best Actor and Actress in a Mini-Series or TV Movie, respectively.
Aside from the big winners during the awards night, the ladies and gentlemen who worked the red carpet received nods from viewers all over the world and entertainment press who covered the event.
"Glee" star Lea Michele arrived wearing an Oscar de la Renta gown while actress Nicole Kidman arrived dressed in Prada.
Guiliana Rancic and Eva Longoria prefered creations by Zac Posen while Amy Adams and Olivia Wilde went with Marchesa gowns.
Happy mommy but very much single Sandra Bullock, who was sporting a new look, was in a Jenny Packham gown.
Emma Stone wore a Calvin Klein gown while Scarlett Johansson, who recently filed for divorce from husband Ryan Reynolds, was in Elie Saab creation.
Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones preferred Los Angeles-based designer Monique Lhuillier, but her best accessory is husband Michael Douglas.
Lhuillier is the same designer who created Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez wedding gown.
"Love and Other Drugs" lead actress Anne Hathaway wowed everyone with her Giorgio Armani Prive gown, Van Cleef & Arpels gems and Roger Vivier minaudiere.
Power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie also attended the Golden Globe. The actress was nominated for the Best Actress trophy in her movie "The Tourist".
Angelina wore a long sleeved emerald gown with Swarovski crystals by Atelier Versace, Ferragamo shoes and Robert Procop jewels. Her partner Brad was also very sleek during the awards night in his Tom Ford tux. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
