ARTISTA Academy's Best Actor Vin Abrenica doesn't see a possible competition between him and his older brother, Aljur, in showbiz.
During the weekend, Vin was awarded the highest and most coveted title in the talent search, which awarded a total of P20 million in cash and prizes to winners.
Aljur attended the awards night held at the jam-packed Araneta Coliseum last Saturday to support his younger brother.
Vin said his brother's presence at the awards night pushed him even more so as not to disappoint him and those who believe in his talent and those who inspired him to do his best in the competition.
The showbiz newbie said Aljur gave him pointers before, during and right after the competition.
Yung mga salita niya talaga, binubuhay niya ako," he added.
He said he is also happy that on his special day, he saw his proud parents together.
Masayang masaya ako na magkakasama silang lahat at pinapanood nila ako," he added.
Vin said he knows that he will be constantly compared to his brother, but he assured it will never affect their relationship as siblings.
He said Aljur is his "idol" and he treats him with outmost respect.
Yung pagmamahal ko sa kanya, yung respeto bilang kapatid, walang tatalo dun," he said.
Instead of dwelling on issues immediately linked to his winning, Vin said his main focus right now is not to disappoint the judges and the public who voted for him.
He said he is also looking forward to the reunion project with the rest of "Artista Academy" Final 6 and the "kick-out" group.
Aside from "Forever Barkada," Vin will also topbill in his own series on TV5. (Sunnex)
