AFTER almost five months of airing, ABS-CBN top rating primetime show “Dahil May Isang Ikaw” topbilled by re-united love team Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa will end this week.
Jericho and Kristine first starred in “Sana'y Wala Ng Wakas” in 2003. Their reunion teleserye captured the hearts of many as the story of love and revenge unfolds.
Other casts in “Dahil May Isang Ikaw” include Lorna Tolentino, Gabby Concepcion, John Estrada, Chin-Chin Gutierrez, Sid Lucero, and Karylle.
In an interview weeks before the teleserye premiered, Jericho said he is very happy that he will get to work again with screen sweetheart Kristine.
Kristine, in a separate interview, also said she is happy working again with Jericho and the chemistry is still there.
“Happy kasi magkakasama kami ulit sa show (I'm happy that we will again in a show),” Kristine said.
She added: “Nakakatuwa kasi kapag nagkakasama kami sa eksena, kumbaga meron nang chemistry (It's good because when we do scenes (for the teleserye), there's already chemistry between us).”
This chemistry is again proven as the show received good comments and reviews from the viewers.
The popularity of both actors is very much seen in the social networking site Twitter wherein their loyal followers made an account that will entirely update the things happening in the show and in their careers as well.
They were also urging twitter followers to make petitions in Star Cinema, the ABS-CBN film production, for a new movie starring Jericho and Kristine.
Jericho said, in the latest fans day dedicated for him and Kristine, that though many wanted them to have a follow-up movie it may take some time before the right project comes.
He added that he will miss working with Kristine.
“Mamimiss ko sa kanya yung chemistry naming dalawa and yung rapport namin pagdating sa acting, medjo click talaga kami eh (I will miss our chemistrya and our rapport when it come to acting and we just really click),” Jericho said.
Jericho meanwhile is mum on his next leading lady in his upcoming film and just said there's still a lot of good stars he is eager to work with.
“Marami pa, Kc Concepcion, Sarah (Geronimo) or maybe a new project with Anne (Curtis),” he said.
“Dahil May Isang Ikaw” also marks the comeback of award winning actress Lorna Tolentino in primetime viewing of ABS-CBN.
Lorna's last teleserye show with ABS-CBN before "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" was “Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay,” which likewise starred John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonso.
On Friday, January 15, "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" will finally close it chapter with a must-see ending.
Gerald Andersoon and Kim Chui's "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" will replace the teleserye.
