More than 200 kids went to the event with their parents in tow and were entertained with parlor games, photo booths, face painting, and glitter tattoos.
There were costume parades around 3 p.m. and costume contest for all the kids who registered for the event.
Shops in the mall also opened their stores as early as 10 a.m. to accommodate kids, in their creative costumes, for trick or treats.
Mariel Rivera from Mandaluyong brought along her kids and grandchildren to experience the holiday offering of SM Mega Mall.
She said their family was doing the trick or treat since 1996, adding that they are happy that the spirit of Halloween is more fun this year.
“Naghahanda talaga kami ng mga costumes sa mga bata pag ganitong October 31 (We are really preparing costumes for the kids every October 31),” Mariel said.
Arlando Calansa, also from Mandaluyong City, does make time to give his kids the opportunity to celebrate the Halloween in Mega Mall.
“Kasi nakikita ko na natutuwa na yung mga bata eh. meron pa silang challenge na di sila matakot tuwing holloween, (I see my kids very happy when they do this trick or treating. They were also challenged not to be afraid with the Halloween),” Calansa said.
From fairies, spiderman, batman to babies in colorful outfit, Halloween was celebrated by the kids in a lighter and happier spirit. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
