AFTER she left everyone hanging last Friday in her interview with close friend Boy Abunda on Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN), Queen of All Media Kris Aquino revealed more on The Buzz Sunday afternoon.

The television host arrived in Manila last Friday after her three-week vacation in Florida USA with sons Joshua and Baby James.

Updates on President Benigno Aquino III's presidency

In the continuation of her interview, Kris cleared all the issues regarding her marriage with cager James Yap, the other woman, and why she fall out of love.

Abunda started the interview with the hot topic two weeks ago about her marriage to James.

In a television interview, Kris's lawyers said the marriage of the television host/actress might be null and void.

Kris said that she still needs to see her lawyers and will have a close-door meeting soon if they really skipped any requirements before or after she and James got married.

"Siguro regalo na yan ng tadhana sa aming dalawa. It has to go to a process in court pero kung totoo yan, maybe it's really a lesson for me," she said.

The television host also added that if she will do it again (marriage), though not anytime soon, she will do it correctly.

James’s statement

Abunda also sought Kris's reaction on the statement made by her husband James last July 2.

On the statement James issued to sports writers, he said: "Naniniwala ako sa kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng buo ang pamilya. Kaya ipaglalaban ko na mapanatiling buo ang pamilya namin ni Kris anuman ang mangyari. Alam ko walang pamilyang hindi dumaan sa ganitong pagsubok. Marami na kaming dinaanang pagsubok ni Kris before and I don’t think na ngayon pa kami susuko."

According to Kris, she tried to keep her silence from the public because her sisters requested not to bring up the dirty laundry of her family.

Kris said she tried to fix her marriage for three and a half years already but it didn't work out. "Naubos yung kagustuhan ko to make it work. I was miserable. And I’m sure, eto, I’ll address this to James, wag kang mahiyang aminin na pati ikaw miserable,"

She added: "I didn’t take into consideration our age gap, I didn’t take into consideration the difference in upbringing, education, likes and dislikes coz I was in love.

Kris understands that many tried to talk to James to work things out between the two of them but she urged him to be truthful to himself.

"Magpakatotoo na tayong dalawa. Ang tagal tagal na nating hindi maligaya sa piling ng isa’t isa. Ang tagal na nating co-existing in one house but having no communication. Matagal na kung nag-uusap man tayo, nagsisigawan lang tayo," she said.

Kris also requested James not to use the late President Cory Aquino's name on the whole issue.

"Mom was so good to you. Wag mo na idamay ang mom. Nakikiusap ako, kasi nananahimik na ang mom sa langit and if you also love mom, don’t bring her into this," she said.

The marriage, on Kris's part, already had its closure before she and the kids left for the United States. The two talked for two hours and settled everything between them.

"Alam nya at alam ko why this marriage ended. Alam din nya kung saan sya nagkulang dahil may mga tinext sya sakin while I was abroad, saying na he realizes where he went wrong. But I said it’s really too late.”

The queen of all media ended the five-year marriage because she grew tired of pretending that everything is well between them.

"But the truth is, and James knows also that we stopped loving each other a long time ago. I’m honest enough to admit it. I wish he could be honest enough to also admit it. Masyado kaming maraming mga pagkakaiba sa personalidad na umabot na sa point na James wants to be James, I want to be Kris. So yun lang," Kris said.

When Abunda asked Kris what was the last straw to call her marriage off, she shared that it took place last April 26, 2010.

"I will forever keep between the two of us. May nasabi sya sa galit namin sa isa't isa siguro nung panahon na yun, na nasaktan talaga ko at yun ang nagpatunay sakin na this is not the man to be and this is not the man I want to stay with because dinadamay na nya ang three years old na bata na dapat protektahan naming dalawa (Baby James)," she said.

Kris added: "For me that was it. The love was dying for a very long time."

She also understands that many want their marriage to work because of their kids. But Kris believes that Joshua and Baby James are happy, well adjusted and taken good care of.

First family

When asked on the reaction of her three sisters and brother, President Benigno Aquino III, Kris said that they understand.

Her family witnessed how she tried to hide everything to the public and how she put on a happy face during the campaign of her brother.

She believes that her sisters acknowledged her efforts of being brave enough to fix things up for her marriage.

"Ang fear lang nila is public opinion, why because public opinion of me would determine how comfortable my sons will be," she said.

Kris jokingly added that her sisters asked her not to date someone for the next six years, which she replied "I'll try."

Hope Centeno

It can be remembered that James was linked to a staff of the Belo Medical Group named Hope Centeno in 2007.

According to Kris, she really never forgotten the issue which was raised three and a half years ago and there was no closure on it.

"The truth is any woman who’s in a relationship whether boyfriend, girlfriend, whether kinasal kayo… once may infidelity, ang hirap lagpasan nun," she said.

Kris's relationship with Belo Medical Group owner Vicky Belo was also tainted with the issue and only this year she went back to the surgical center for her aesthetic needs.

Kris, who regard herself as "crazy loyal" to her partner, believes that the marriage started to falter since the birth of this issue.

"I can honestly say na in the five years na nagsama kami, hindi ako nagloko. I don’t think he could say the same thing," she said.

When asked if she's aware that James is currently issued with a child with someone, Kris's only reply was "good".

"I said ‘good’. And I said good. Yun talaga, yun ang opinion ko. Kasi we don’t live under one roof anymore. Right? So it’s his right, and it would make much easier for the entire country to move on," she said.

She said she’s not bitter towards James because, after all, if he didn't arrive in her life, she wouldn't have her Bimby (Baby James).

Right now, Kris is moving forward to the tune of "It Must Have Been Love But It's Over Now." (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
