HOST Kris Aquino said that her sisters have the original tandem of Piolo Pascual and Judy Ann Santos on top of their wish list to play their parents -- former President Cory and former Senator Ninoy Aquino -- during their youth.

"My sisters said that it's been a long time since we watched them. But I think that cannot happen as of the moment. I also mentioned Claudine and Piolo and although they don’t look alike but they have a nice bearing and a clean image, the roles really fit John Lloyd and Bea.

While they are having a hard time with the casting, Kris also revealed that Star Cinema is already in talks with a Hollywood film outfit for an "ala-Gandhi" film of epic proportions.

Star Cinema, according to Kris, would like to highlight the different phases of the esteemed couple.

"It's also difficult kasi kawawa naman ang Dad if Mom is the lead star. If it's a Cory movie, it's Cory's movie. I don't know if there should be a separate movie," she said.

According to Kris, aside from Judy Ann Santos, she prefers Vilma Santos to play the role of Cory later on life. But if there were constraints about election since the governor of Batangas is running for re-election, Sharon Cuneta is her second choice in terms of being articulate and having a command of several languages, including French.

"You have to picture the person addressing the US Congress. It would really depend on the time frame," she said.

As for Ninoy, she can picture Aga Muhlach playing the role of the Ninoy during the time when he was incarcerated.

"For Dad, it's hard because he died at fifty. You really have to choose. It's hard because Dad's life was very fast. The impact of his life really started at seventeen years old as Korean war correspondent. The span from sevention to fifty, that's hard. They need to choose someone really good," she said.

When asked why she did not consider her self for the role, since she is also an actress, she said, "I can't coz I'm not my Mom. From being soft spoken, gentle and all, that's not me. People will be saying, "She's far from Cory" so it would be better not to," she said, which elicited laughs from the entertainment press.

When members of the press commented that being gentle only takes acting, Kris responded, "But I'm not that good an actress. It would be okay if I'm good. But I really can't do it," she said, which elicited louder laughs.

The Aquino siblings have already talked about whom they want to be cast as themselves.

"Mga ilusyonada kami. We casted our selves!" she said.

According to Kris, her sister Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, chose Jodi Santamaria. Pinky Aquino-Abellada chose Angelica Panganiban while Viel Aquino-Dee still have to decide and Senator Noynoy Aquino, who is also running for President in the 2010 elections chose John Lloyd. Kris chose Kim Chiu, who has the same chinita looks. When the entertainment press reacted, she also considered Anne Curtis.

Aside from the cast, Kris expressed that she would like a Filipino female director to handle the project even if it will be a co-production with Hollywood.

"Since (director) Ange Lee was able to penetrate, I really think this is a chance for a Filipino director to make it. It could be Direk Olive (Lamasan), Laurice (Guillen), Marilou (Diaz-Abaya) If it's about mama, I really hope it's a woman. I really don't know. It's all up in the air," she said.
