More than 3,000 houses for sale at a discount-A A +A
Tuesday, October 11, 2011
MORE than three thousand foreclosed housing units in Metro Manila and various Central Luzon provinces are still up for sale until October 14, the Home Development Mutual Fund (HMDF) said on Tuesday.
These structures will be sold at 30 percent off their standard prices, said Vice President Jejomar Binay, who also serves as the country's Housing Czar.
Foreclosed housing units are available in Caloocan, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, and Quezon City. Others up for sale are also in Rizal, Pampanga, Bulacan, Batangas, Cavite, and Laguna.
HDMF, also known as the Pag-Ibig Fund, extended its program to give substantial discounts for its acquired assets after it conducted its 6th Housing Fair from September 30 to October 2.
"We have received numerous requests from members for us to extend the program and we are doing it to give them the opportunity to finally own their own homes," Binay, also the housing agency’s board chair, said.
Buyers who choose to avail of the program can "enjoy easy-payment terms or big discounts," Pag-Ibig Fund chief executive officer Darlene Marie Berberabe said. "Qualified members may even avail themselves of housing loans to buy the properties."
The complete list of properties for sale is available on the HDMF website, www.pagibigfund.gov.ph by clicking on “Property Finder.”
