Sharing Ramgen-Janelle sex video ‘may land you in jail’

ANYONE who watches and shares an intimate video of murdered actor Ramgen Revilla and his girlfriend Janelle Manahan could spend time behind bars, Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. said.
Revilla condemned the release of the video, which circulated on the Internet last week, as disrespectful.
"Ramgen's murder was bad enough, now, they are taking away his dignity," he said in a press statement in Filipino.
He said the release of the video also demeans Manahan, who had to undergo surgery in November after surviving the home invasion that left Revilla dead.
Revilla said the video's uploader, as well as those who helped spread it online, are liable under the Anti-Voyeurism Law, which the senator helped pass after explicit videos of Hayden Kho with different women spread online.
Under the law, it is illegal to take intimate footage "without the consent of the persons involved and under circumstances in which the persons have a reasonable expectation of privacy."
It is also illegal to copy or reproduce the video, sell, or broadcast it even with the consent of the people in the video.
"This means that every person who downloads, copies and sends the video is guilty of committing the offense, regardless if they were the original uploaders," Revilla said.
Violating the Anti-Voyeurism Law carries a penalty of three years to seven years in prison and a fine of from P100,000 to P500,000.
The senator, who previously appealed to the government to help bring back half-sister Ramona Bautista, a prime suspect in the murder after she fled the country for Turkey, has asked the National Bureau of Investigation to "conduct an investigation and arrest the culprits."
