Grace Poe saddened by UNA threat

SENATORIAL bet Grace Poe-Llamanzares reiterated Tuesday that there was no pre-condition set when she was adopted by the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) as a guest candidate.
"It saddens me because I thought that there are things that transcend political consideration like the support of others," Poe told reporters in an interview.
Poe-Llamanzares, along with re-electionist Senators Loren Legarda and Francis Escudero, were adopted as guest candidates by UNA, the coalition of political parties led by Vice President Jejomar Binay and former President Joseph Estrada.
The three candidates are also guest candidates of the Liberal Party-led coalition Team PNoy. They joined the administration slate in its kick-off rally in Plaza Miranda in Manila last week.
Binay earlier threatened to drop their three guest candidates if they continue to snub UNA's political sorties.
Poe-Llamanzares said she would respect the decision of UNA in case the coalition makes good of its threat.
"I will respect it if they decide to drop us, that's their prerogative," she said.
"I won't attend (their sorties) for the meantime. Anyway, Vice President Binay said we still have to talk about it," the Team PNoy candidate added.
