Lacson declines to confirm position in Aquino government

SENATOR Panfilo Lacson declined to identify what position he will hold in the government of President Benigno Aquino III once his term ends in June.
In an interview on Thursday, Lacson said it is going to be an "exciting" job. "You'll find out later. When I get on board, it's going to be exciting. I'll create more enemies," he said.
On the same day, President Aquino said Lacson will be like his "fireman" with no specific agency to report to.
He became more cryptic, saying "when there is a particular group that needs my undivided attention, he (Lacson) will be the one providing that undivided attention."
Another Aquino ally, Senator Francis Pangilinan, will be appointed in a post related to his expertise in the agriculture sector.
Lacson and Pangilinan joined the Senate in 2001.
