"May peace and covenant tayo na ginawa in most areas sa Maynila prior to this election. So far 'di tulad ng national elections, kakaunti lang ito pero mas mainit," he said.
Bernal also clarified that not a single barangay in the city were placed under election watchlist areas (EWA) but he said that the MPD still considering precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the public.
The police will also secure the distribution and transport of ballot boxes on election day.
He also reminded fraternities and sororities that will be having celebrations on Sunday after the last day of the Bar examinations that the MPD will be strictly enforcing the 24-hour liquor ban staring 12:01 a.m.
"Puede naman siguro nilang ipagpaliban ang kanilang party sa mga susunod na araw. Wala po kaming sasantuhin sa pagpapatupad ng alcohol ban ngayong election period," Bernal said.
