P4.2-M worth of cocaine seized in Davao City-A A +A

JOINT anti-narcotics and police agents have confiscated P4.2 million worth of suspected cocaine from two male drug pushers during separate buy-bust operations in Davao City recently.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspects as Guillermo Badilla, alias Gile, 44, of Davao del Norte; and his younger brother, Roldan, 28, of Davao City.
PDEA-Davao Region and local police conducted a buy-bust operation at the vicinity of Km. 23, Bunawan, Davao City that led to the arrest of Guillermo after he agreed to sell 37.2 grams of suspected cocaine worth P8,000 to a poseur-buyer on April 9.
Another 41.6 grams of suspected cocaine worth P249,000 and the P500 bill used as marked money were also recovered from his possession.
A total of 78.8 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated total amount of P257,600 were confiscated from Guillermo.
Another buy-bust operation was conducted by the same law enforcement units that resulted in the arrest of Roldan at the vicinity of Km. 25, Bunawan, Davao City.
Roldan was arrested after selling 37.4 grams of suspected cocaine worth P8,000 to an operative who acted as poseur-buyer. Eighteen big sachets of suspected cocaine weighing 663.5 grams with estimated amount of P3,981,000 and the P500 marked money used in the operation were also recovered.
A total of 700.9 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated market value of P3, 989,000 was confiscated from the younger Badilla.
The Badilla brothers are now temporarily detained at Police Precinct 6 Bunawan Police Station jail facility. They will be charged with violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 11 (Possession of Illegal Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The seized suspected cocaine were brought to the PDEA-Davao Region laboratory for forensic examination. (SDR/Sunnex)
