ANTI-NARCOTICS agents have arrested a suspected big-time female pusher in a recent by-bust operation just meters away from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency's (PDEA) national headquarters in Quezon City, an official said Saturday.
PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspect as Margarita Cuesta, alias Taba, 34, a resident of Bagong Lipunan CAA, Las Piñas City.
Cuesta is a targeted drug personality in Case Operation Plan "Chinese Recidivist".
Elements of PDEA-National Capital Region (PDEA-NCR) collared Cuesta last Wednesday after she sold a transparent plastic bag containing 120 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, with an estimated value of P280,000 to a poseur buyer in front of Quezon City Postal Office, NIA Road, Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City.
"The deal between Cuesta and the poseur-buyer was consummated only a stone's throw away from the left side of our compound. This shows how bold the suspect is in conducting her illegal activity,” Cacdac said.
Cuesta is presently under the custody of PDEA-NCR.
A case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is being prepared for filing in court against her. (SDR/Sunnex)
